Boiler feed pump, Handling of boiler feed water and condensate, required to provide a high discharge pressure of 30 to 35 MPa or higher, with a feed-water temperature of as high as 180C or higher, is commonly used in power stations, thermal plant and industrial facilities.
As a trustworthy steel castings manufacturer, our foundry has successfully casted the suction casings of boiler feed pump, API BB4 and API BB5 pumps with material grade of ASTM A352 LCB, which is a carbon steel formulated for casting. It has a moderately high ductility among the cast carbon steels.
Besides casted carbon steel, we also manufacture forged carbon steel parts with material of A572 grade 50, 60, and 65 for those pressure containing components, such as inlet cover, outer barrel, casing and discharge cover of boiler feed pumps.

Forged ASTM A572

A572-50, in particular, boasts a density, yield strength, and Brinell hardness of 135, making it the preferred choice for a wide range of heavy-duty applications.
